{Real Party} Ladies Luncheon

It has been such a busy, busy time for Bliss Events by Rachel! I'm sorry I have been such a lazy blogger, but I hope these pictures make up for it!

Yesterday was the Ladies Luncheon that I have been planning and it went swimmingly! Although it was for LSU purposes, I really didn't want to use the traditional purple and gold as the color scheme. So, I decided to focus on lemons with a little Fall instead! I had so much fun decorating and planning this little lunch!

This is the invitation that was sent electronically to the guests

My inspiration was shabby-chic so I couldn't do without the quilt and mason jars!

I made the place cards with lemons, bamboo sticks and little flags with the guest's name. I made sure to use the same font as the invitation so everything meshed well. These were so easy to make and really made a great impression!

The lemonade and mason jars really helped set the tone of the luncheon but the added blueberries took it to the next level! Gotta love those extra little details!

The quilt and napkins are Better Home and Garden from Wal-Mart. Proof you don't have to spend an arm and a leg to make great table decor!

The gorgeous flowers are from Billy Heroman's. They smelled fabulously and the lemons in the vase were really perfect!

I told Drake's Catering about my lemon theme and they came up with the perfect menu that fit right in:

Fresh Spinach salad, with sliced tomatoes, toasted almonds, and a balsamic vinaigrette

Tilapia Almandine panned seared in a lemon butter sauce, served with roasted new potatoes and whole fresh green beans
Lemon Mosse with seasonal berries

Everything was so tasty and all of our guests just raved about everything! If you can't tell, I had a blast planning this luncheon and I hope you enjoyed reading about it! Hope you all have great days!

{Fab Find Friday} Groomsmen Gifts

Groomsmen can be difficult to purchase gifts for because so many of the traditional gifts revolve around hobbies or lifestyles (i.e. engraved flasks, monogrammed golf towels, cufflinks, etc.). One impressive (yet safe) idea is a nice tolietry bag. I found these fabulous finds on Etsy (of course!):

I think the ones with the moustache are hilarious! To learn more, visit QueenBee55's Etsy Page.

Happy Friday!

{Real Party} LSU Breakfast

This morning I was charged with an informal LSU breakfast at the LSU Faculty Club. I threw together some place cards and menu cards for the occasion out of simple, white card stock.

The pictures aren't the best (no worries, I'm getting a camera soon!). I loved the font because it was fun but still readable. It is hard to tell, but the dash box around the name is actually a deep purple. There were a few vegetarians, which explains the V.

The menu cards had matching font with the deep purple dash lines and a light gold stripe to add color.

These were easy, fun details that added that little something to this informal event!

Cricut Creations!

Over this long, restful Labor Day weekend I finally put my Cricut to good use. I only have one font so far so I was limited with my playing...but I still had fun! I made a bunch of gifts for the family...three of which are teenage boys that have little to no desire to own anything cute...but they were great sports! I got the idea of using the vinyl letters on picture frames from my friend over at Emmie Lane...she is so great!

Once I have downloaded the proper programs...I'll be Cricuting everything with fierce determination! Stay tuned for more!

{Fab Find Friday} Puzzling Guest Book!

On this Fabulous Find Friday, I've found an etsy vendor that creates puzzle-piece guest "books".  How creative, right!?!

Your guests sign the back of the pieces and then you have a truly fabulous souvenir from your big day. I can just picture future kiddos playing with this puzzle as Mommy and Daddy share stories of their wedding! Aww..so sweet!

This idea would be perfect for the couple who wants to highlight their personalities in less obvious ways...or the quirky couple...or the couple that loves doing puzzles...obviously.

Can you see the words in the middle? Just love it!

Have a fabulous weekend!
