The Cinderella Project Drop-off Opportunity

Do you have bridesmaid's dresses or formals starting to collect dust?
Free up some of your closet space and donate those gowns to The Cinderella Project of Baton Rouge!

My prom was more than a few moons ago...but I can still remember how pricey getting ready for it can be. Each girl wants the perfect dress, shoes and accessories...so, The Cinderella Project of Baton Rouge helps high school students in financial need find just that!

This Sunday-Tuesday (March 13-15, 2011), Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers makes it a little easier to donate. You can drop off your donation at any of the 14 participating Baton Rouge area Raising Cane's AND you can receive a free 21-ounce lemonade. (Find out which locations here.)

When selecting gowns to donate they must fall within these guidelines:

Prom dresses MUST be age-appropriate and suitable for a high school student to wear to a spring formal.
Dresses MUST be in style and in excellent condition.
Dresses MUST be prom dresses, formal gowns or fancy party dresses (long or short).
Prom dresses MUST be on hangers and dry-cleaned.

Also, they will not accept:

Dresses that have long sleeves, matching jackets or are mother-of-the-bride ensembles
Dresses made with velvet
Two-piece bridesmaids dresses
Garments that are faded, torn or stained
Garments that out of style (more than 5 years old)
Garments that have not been dry-cleaned

There are tons of ways to get involved with this organization! To learn more, please visit their website.
